We at Mr. Muskie Charters are glad to put 2020 behind us and have a new start to a new year! We along with most of the country had many difficult challenges to overcome last year.
Whether it was the governor shutting down the state or the virus spreading or not being allowed to fish in Canadian waters, there seemed to be no shortage of challenges for us and our customers.
However, somehow we managed to persevere and forge through those challenges.
The Walleye season was very good with plenty of fish to be had for all. It was more challenging to not be able to always fish our usual spots on the Canadian side of the river but we found that there are plenty of Walleye on both sides of the river. We also used a few different tactics that produced very good results.
The early Bass season also had some challenges but produced many days with better numbers of fish and even on the tougher days had some excellent quality Smallies that Lake St. Clair is known for.
Muskie Season this year started off on a great run of numbers caught while we also had some nice quality fish caught as well.
The middle of the season produced some excellent fish and we caught one of the top Muskies boated by a 15 year old on his birthday, what a present and memory that will be for him and his family!
The Fall had some challenging days with plenty of wind and weeds that slowed catching down a bit, however we had days with multiple species, and a few Fall trophy Muskies to show.
Sturgeon season had started off with some slower action but as the Fall fell upon us so did the bite and we had some truly awesome monsters in the boat including one of our top at an amazing 69"!
We wish all of our clients a fresh and new start to 2021 filled with health, happiness and successful fishing trips with us again this year!
We are booking the season for all species at this time and are offering a pre-season discount as we will not be doing any shows.
